We had an amazing time. Manuel and Filipe were beyond super. Patient with our daughter who is new to back country activities, very encouraging and supportive. Safety was #1 priority. Our skinning out of bounds was great. Our out of bounds skiing was amazing. Manuel has an amazing backyard to play in. Very competent, very strong skiers, worth every penny. Cant wait to go back. And the photos are unreal!!!

These guys are great. I have no reservations in recommending them. It is 20 years since I did any real touring. I had three days with Felipe and Manuel, introduction to modern (post-telemark) touring gear and off-piste safety, and some fabulous skiing. They impressed me with their concern for safety of guests and themselves, and ensuring that we ski in a party with similar abilities. Pre-tour email exchanges ensured they understood my hopes, to be adventurous but within my fitness levels, it's a long time since I was 24 and "robust". Meeting the day before ensured I understood their offering and they my abilities. I was impressed with their professionalism, their experience, and on top of that they are just really nice people enjoying the snow. I hope to be back next year.

Touring in the Nevados de Chillán was beyond amazing. The terrain is simply breathtaking and very accessible from the top chair lift.Having such a vast area of amazing, virtually untouched skiing within easy touring distance, was something truly special compared to most places in North America and Europe I've been to. I was very impressed by the professionalism and friendliness exhibited by our Backchillan guide, Filipe. I especially appreciate the high attention to avalanche safety, as well as making sure to tailor the experience to the skill level of each participants. To top it off, having lunch while sitting in the hot waters of Aguas Calientes and then skiing down the beautiful Valle Hermoso made this a truly special experience!

Felipe, On our touring day you made the extra effort to make sure I could rent a touring setup in a size that would work for me, going back and forth between a few shops.Not knowing the area as well, this was a huge help and I probably wouldn't have made it that far without it.When we got on the hill, you were prepared and knowledgeable right out of the gate.Your concern for our safety was evident and I never felt that we were in danger while hiking and touring on terrain.Your knowledge of the area and flexibility in your plans made a day of tough weather conditions into a fun adventure to a beautiful hot spring a couple valleys over.We never felt rushed and we never felt like we were running out of time to get everything in.You really nailed our touring day to attainably fit our goals.I would definitely go with you into the back country again as my guide.

What an amazing day! Heli skiing on endless first tracks all the while watching a smoking volcano, Manu and his team bring years of experience to the backcountry to our day. The helicopter was well maintained and the pilot was able to set us down on high ridgelines. They kept the operation going quickly with very little wait. If you want an unforgettable experience, come ski Nevados de Chillan. If you want a once in a lifetime, add in Heliskiing with BackChillan.
